Supervision

I have a certificate in Supervision with Soul, from Re-Vision, and am currently studying for my diploma in supervision. While I am in training I am offering low-cost supervision for counsellors and therapists (£25 for 60 minutes), in person or via Skype.

I believe strongly in the value of good supervision. Working as a counsellor can be challenging and we can sometimes feel isolated. It is important to get support and a chance to reflect on our work with a more experienced practitioner.

In providing supervision, my aim is to work with the supervisee in a way in which the process is shared. While I offer my knowledge and experience, I also encourage the supervisee to find their own answers. A soulful approach to supervision means I sometimes work with the imagination, such as by inviting images as we discuss a particular client. I am also interested in the supervisee's counter transference feelings to a client, as this can provide valuable information about what may be happening in the therapy.
